The Intelligence Bureau (Ministry of Home Affairs) has released the notification for the recruitment of 362 Multi-Tasking Staff (General) {MTS(G)} posts across various Subsidiary Intelligence Bureaux. Online applications began on November 22, 2025, and eligible Indian nationals can apply through the MHA website or NCS portal until December 14, 2025. This direct recruitment offers opportunities in Group ‘C’ Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial posts with All India Transfer liability.

Note-1: All SC/ST candidates, female candidates, Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD)and those Ex-Servicemen, who are eligible for reservation, are exempted from payment of examination fee. However, they will have to pay the Recruitment Processing Charges i.e. ₹ 550/-.
Note-2: Ex-servicemen who have already secured employment in civil side under Central Govt in Group ‘C’ post on regular basis after availing benefits of reservation given to them are required to pay the examination fee, i.e.₹ 100/- also along with recruitment processing charges of ₹ 550/-.
Note-3: Banking charges, if applicable, will be borne by the candidate.

Educational Qualification:
Candidates must have passed Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board and possession of domicile certificate of that State against which candidate has applied on closing date of application, i.e. 12/14/2025.
IB MTS Recruitment 2025 Salary & Benefits
Pay Scale: Level-1 (₹18,000-56,900) in the pay matrix plus admissible Central Govt. allowances. Note: i. Special Security Allowance @ 20% of basic pay in addition to other Govt. allowances. ii. Cash compensation in lieu of duty performed on holidays subject to a ceiling of 30 days.

Note: Descriptive Test on English Language and Comprehension (Basics of English Language, its vocabulary, correct grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms and its correct usage, etc., to test comprehension and paragraph writing in 150 words). How to Apply for IB MTS Recruitment 2025
- Candidates should have a valid personal e-mail ID and mobile number. It should be kept active during the entire recruitment process.
- Applications should be submitted only through ONLINE registration by logging on to MHA’s website (www.mha.gov.in) or NCS portal (www.ncs.gov.in) only.
- Read the Instructions carefully and select (√) “I Agree” and Press ‘Registration/Sign-up’ button to proceed further.
- Before start of filling-up of application through on-line mode, the candidate should keep ready: Valid e-mail ID and Mobile Number; Scanned copy of the recent passport size colour Photograph (100-200KB in jpg/jpeg format only and not older than 12 weeks); Scanned signature (80-150KB in jpg/jpeg format only); Valid photo ID proof issued by Central/State Govt.; Certificate/Marksheet pertaining to Class X; Certificate(s)/Marksheet(s) pertaining to Class XII or Diploma or Graduation, if acquired.
- Step-I: Registration of Personal and Contact details. Login Id and password will be sent to you through e-mail on your registered e-mail Id.
- Step-II: Re-login and select the category and fill up the Personal Details, Qualification Details, Upload photo and signature and submit Exam fees, (if applicable) and “Recruitment Processing Charges (to be paid by all the candidates, irrespective of category) online via SBI EPAY LITE through net banking/debit cards/credit cards/UPI/challan etc.
- Application once submitted cannot be withdrawn and fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.
Note: Category and Sub-category [UR/SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/PwBD/Ex-Serviceman] once filled by candidate in the on-line application form will not be changed and no benefit of other category will be admissible. The applicant should select the SIB carefully and indicate the same correctly in his/her application. SIB, once opted, will NOT be changed in any circumstances.
